Lately, have you received a message from your favourite celebrity, business mentor, or other influential people in society? Well, if you have, did they talk about this or that investment? It has emerged that fake celebrity accounts are being created by cons claiming celebrity X has endorsed crypto trading platform Y.

In our latest series of investigative articles, we reveal a Bitcoin scheme that involved media personality Holly Willoughby and Bitcoin trading platform, Bitcoin Code.

Here’s what we unearthed.

Who is Holly Willoughby?

Holly Willoughby is a British model, TV host, and second-time best-selling author with an impressive career in the media industry, having operated in the space for over a decade now. Willoughby enjoys prime roles in popular UK television programs including Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Juice, and This Morning.

On Instagram alone, her followers span over six million while on Twitter, the British star has another whopping seven million followers.

As you can tell by her impressive resume, Willoughby is a highly influential celebrity, both on social media and TV.

Bitcoin Code

The platform is bot-powered with an algorithm that makes it possible for it to execute automatic trades for investors. The website reportedly works with a few independent robots meant to help users with funds in their accounts to make profitable trades.

Getting signed up on Bitcoin Code seems like a straightforward process, with the only essential requirement being a minimum deposit of £250. Apart from that, everything else is pretty much the same as most other auto trading tools such as Bitcoin Revolution, Bitcoin Loophole, and Bitcoin Profit.

Did Holly Willoughby invest in Bitcoin Code?

From the investigation we carried out, we were not able to find any evidence showing Willoughby is part of the alleged scam.

While she owns Bitcoin in her portfolio, she neither invested nor embraced Bitcoin Code in person or through her various handles.

Why the story is trending

If not for the undeniable fact that one of the involved parties is a celebrity, the only other reason why there’s a lot of fuss around this story could be due to unscrupulous tactics by 3rd party marketers keen on pushing investors to sign up on crypto sites in exchange for commissions.

All the information sources we were able to track mostly ended up on personal blogging or YouTube channels belonging to various online entrepreneurs. As such, none of the adverts links back to neither Bitcoin Code or Willoughby.

We strongly urge our readers to adopt the culture of verifying news sources before making any conclusion off a story. Otherwise, online read news from credible sources.
