It’s official - TV shows, prominent investors, and celebrities are under siege owing to the ongoing Bitcoin scams. Several adverts have been doing rounds online claiming certain famous individuals and TV shows had endorsed various crypto trading brands.

We’ve review multiples other celebrity scandals, be sure to check them out.

In this post, we set the record straight on one of the internet’s biggest Bitcoin scams involving American TV show, Shark Tank.

Rumour has it that Bitcoin Era was endorsed by Shark Tank after it appeared on the show. However, Shark Tank has refuted the claims, saying the claims are nothing but fake news.

Well, we’re here to get to the bottom of this scandal and put the rumours to rest once and for all.

Let’s get started!

About Shark Tank

This is a US reality TV show that started airing in 2009 and was inspired by Britain’s Dragon’s Den show. However, the original version dates back to 2001 in Japan and was called Tigers of Money.

The idea behind Shark Tank is to provide a platform for individuals to pitch business ideas to a team of investors that decides whether they are “in” or “out” depending viability.

The investors, popularly referred to as “sharks” are made up of Mark Cuban with an estimated net worth of $4.3 billion, Kevin O'Leary with an estimated net worth of $400 million, Daymond John whose estimated net worth is $300 million, Robert Herjavec estimated to be worth $200 million, Lori Greiner worth about $100 million, as well as Barbara Corcoran with an estimated net worth of about $80 million.

What is Bitcoin Era?

Bitcoin Era is premised on a new kind of technology that enables investors to engage in Bitcoin trading without their active involvement. The tool is said to be an invention of a few traders who are keen on “roping” into the crypto market investors who don’t have the time or technical know-how of Bitcoin trading.

The trading platform features a robot that automatically uses clients’ account balances to get in and out of trades, earning profit for investors.

Bitcoin Era claims to have a 99% accuracy level on all its trades, making it one of the most assuring Bitcoin earning tools.

Did Shark Tank endorse Bitcoin Era?

Shark Tank is a pitching platform for budding entrepreneurs looking to bag investments for their innovations and business ideas. While the respective investors either invest or opt-out of deals, the show does not in itself engage in the business of endorsing any of the pitched ideas. Besides that, Bitcoin Era never appeared on Shark Tank.

Why all the media fuss?

The endorsement rumours were mostly advertised on YouTube, Facebook, individuals blogs and news sites. As you would imagine, YouTube and Facebook ads could reach millions of viewers within a day, not to talk of popular news sites that scammers used to place ads about Shark Tank’s alleged endorsement of Bitcoin Era.

We managed to trace a few of the adverts, and they mostly led to sites known for publishing gossip and fake news. It was also obvious that the owners of the ads were after quick sign-up commissions from Bitcoin Era, and didn't seem to be directly related to the company at all.

For the record, Shark Tank indicated in a past post that they have never endorsed any Bitcoin trading tool as alleged by the scammers and that the crypto platform in question never appeared on the show.
