Starbucks to launch Beyond Meat in China with its new plant-based lunch menu

Starbucks to introduce a new lunch menu in China that will use Beyond Meat's plant-based beef alternative.
The coffee company will also offer oat milk lattes and use Omnipork's plant-based pork alternatives in lunch.
Beyond Meat jumps 10% in extended trading; says it'll launch Chinese-language website for convenience.

In its statement on Monday, Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ: SBUX) announced its plans of launching Beyond Meat Inc.’s (NASDAQ: BYND) products in China later this week. Starbucks said that it will expand its lunch menu with new plant-based offerings. Starbucks is currently reopening its nationwide stores in China and slowly catching pace after the Coronavirus pandemic that originated in Wuhan and disrupted global businesses on an unprecedented scale.
