BitFlyer and Brave partner up

The announcement of the partnership was published by BitFlyer on its own website. It says that the two plan to create a digital currency wallet, which Brave plans to offer to its browser users.

While the partnership comes as a rather exciting news, that is all the details that the companies were willing to share thus far. However, the partnership itself is important, as well as the news of a project that the two will work together on.

In fact, it might even be big enough to fuel speculation, and maybe even lead to Japanese users using Basic Attention Token (BAT), instead of BAP.

As many likely know, Brave users are rewarded for watching ads with BAT. However, this is not the case when it comes to users from Japan. Due to regulations, users are not allowed to use BAT, and instead, they are limited to BAP (Basic Attention Token Points).

However, that is just speculation at this point, while more details will become known on July 30th, in a Tokyo-based event.

Brave is securing its presence in Asia

This is not the first move that Brave made to increase its presence in Asia. Just last month, the project partnered with BTS — a Korean pop idol group.

Another major partnership was with the Japanese esports team, Rush Gaming. Its BAT token was also recently listed on numerous Japanese crypto exchanges, including BitFlyer itself.

Lastly, it is worth noting that BitFlyer and Brave also made plans to create a Japan-based joint marketing campaign. The g oal of the campaign is to increase the recognition of crypto and blockchain technology among their customers in the country.
