Service Corporation International (NYSE: SCI) said on Monday that its revenue in the fiscal fourth quarter posted a 14% annualised growth to £697.43 million. The company earned 83 pence per share in Q4 on a GAAP basis.

Service Corp’s shares are currently exchanging hands at £39.45 in the stock market. In comparison, the NYSE-listed company had plummeted to as low as £24.96 per share in the first week of April 2020. Service Corp earned 81 pence per share on an adjusted basis

On an adjusted basis, Service Corp earned 81 pence per share in the recent quarter versus the year-ago figure of 43 pence per share. The American provider of funeral and goods and services valued its net cash attributed to operating activities at £176.16 million that represents a 56% year over year increase.

Comparable funeral gross profit, as per the Houston-based firm, jumped 44% in the fourth quarter while margin widened to 27.5%. Comparable cemetery gross profit, on the other hand, saw a 42% increase in Q4 as compared to the same quarter last year while margin broadened to 39%.

Service Corp also said on Monday that its cemetery preneed sales came in 16% higher than last year. The North American’s largest cremation services provider published its financial report only a week after it announced its partnership with Donate Life America.

Service Corporation International’s guidance for fiscal 2021

For fiscal 2021, the cemetery property and services company now forecasts its adjusted per-share earnings (diluted) to fall in the range of £1.80 to £2.09. The U.S. firm expects up to £503.30 million of net cash (excluding special items) attributed to operating activities.

Chief Executive Tom Ryan commented on the company’s quarterly earnings report on Monday and said:

Service Corp International performed only slightly upbeat in the stock market last year with an annual gain of close to 4%. At the time of writing, it is valued at £6.72 billion and has a price to earnings ratio of 21.28.
