Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced a multiyear partnership with crypto.com, the fastest growing crypto exchange in the world. Apart from becoming the club’s official cryptocurrency platform partner, crypto.com will also release exclusive Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) on its native NFT platform, crypto.com/NFT, Invezz learned from a press release.

Unparalleled international appeal

PSG boasts players like Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, and Nuno Mendes and enjoys unparalleled international appeal. The partnership with the leading crypto exchange was a logical next step. With more than 10 million users worldwide, crypto.com is in the top ten of finance apps in both Google Play and the App Store.

Marc Armstrong, Chief Partnerships Officer, Paris Saint-Germain, commented:

Crypto.com is not only the fastest growing crypto platform worldwide, but also the issuer of the most popular crypto card in the world. It has users in more than 30 countries. The exchange will pay a large portion of the sponsorship fee using Crypto Coin (CRO/USD), their own native token. This is unprecedented for an agreement of such magnitude.

A history of global partnerships

Crypto.com is also an industry leader in sports partnerships with collaborations with Formula 1, UFC, and Lega Serie A. They were also the first to partner with an NHL team, which happened earlier this year.
