The venture arm of a top cryptocurrency exchange and blockchain ecosystem OKEx, OKEx Blockdream Ventures, and play-to-earn blockchain game SYN CITY announced a partnership to launch a ‘mafia metaverse’, Invezz learned from a press release. SYN CITY will receive operations consulting, a global customer support system, and other resources as a partner.

Introducing a unique system of governance

SYN CITY, a free-to-play game founded by Roy Liu, former Head of Business at Tron (TRX/USD), is the first syndicate and mafia-themed blockchain game in history.

The proposed mafia metaverse introduces Mafia-as-a-DAO (MaaD), a unique governance system that gives each player an incentive by allowing them to create or join syndicates. Among the developers of SYN CITY are gaming veterans from Ubisoft, Disney, Gameloft, Roblox, and EA.
