EarthFund launches DAO platform to boost decentralized funding for global causes

  • The DAO service will boost funding initiatives for worthy causes around the world.
  • EarthFund’s project is set to officially launch on 15 June 2022.
  • Two pilot projects are already on board, with the target being mainstream adoption.

Funding for a worthy cause may now be easy for regular individuals and companies across the world, thanks to decentralized funding platform EarthFund’s DAO-as-Service product.

Set to launch on June 15, the platform will make it possible for people to create funding DAOs similar to ConstitutionDAO or UkraineDAO, two projects unveiled for real-world causes – albeit in different circumstances.

It’s an opportunity for the crypto community to engage in more meaningful causes, said Adam Boalt, co-founder of EarthFund.

Using the product, projects will be able to tap into more accountability, transparency and blockchain’s decentralization.

The platform’s launch will see pilot projects by Deepak Chopra (a ‘NeverAlone token for mental health initiatives) and Dr. Lucy Tweed (Carbon Removal).

Commenting on the launch, Chopra said:

DAOs going mainstream

With EarthFund’s suite of tools, the global community will find setting up the infrastructure needed to launch a successful DAO a lot easier. As it stands, this has been a huge problem for the not-so-tech savvy, with mastery of the Solidity programming language key.

The new service offers users, donors and founders a way to create and benefit from the DAOs. Founders will have access to a plug-and-play product with which they can easily create and deploy ERC-20 tokens, and a DAO with zero-gas governance.

Users and donors will have a chance to vote or donate to projects with the best community impact, EarthFund said in a press release on Tuesday.
