Bloom Energy (BE)

Bloom Energy Corporation develops and commercialises solid oxide fuel cell technology used to generate electricity at the customer’s site. Its core product, the Bloom Energy Server, is designed for stationary power applications where businesses need reliable, always-on electricity rather than intermittent generation. The systems convert fuel into power through an electrochemical process, which can reduce certain emissions compared with conventional combustion-based generation.
The company serves commercial, industrial, utility, and public-sector customers that are seeking resilient power for facilities such as data centres, manufacturing sites, hospitals, and other operations with high uptime requirements. Bloom’s platform is fuel-flexible, with systems capable of running on natural gas, biogas, and hydrogen, giving the company exposure to both today’s distributed power market and longer-term interest in low-carbon fuels.
Bloom Energy’s business combines equipment manufacturing, project development, installation, and ongoing service. Its value proposition centres on on-site generation, grid independence, power quality, and the ability to deploy modular systems close to demand. That makes the company part of several overlapping markets, including clean energy infrastructure, distributed generation, backup power, and hydrogen-related technologies.
The company sells in the United States and international markets, where customers and governments are weighing energy security, decarbonisation targets, and rising electricity demand. For investors, Bloom Energy stands out as a specialist in solid oxide fuel cells, a technology with potential applications across electricity generation, hydrogen production, and future low-emission energy systems.
