Brave announces support for in-browser crypto trading
- Brave browser recently revealed its partnership with crypto exchange Binance, which brought a Binance widget that can be used for trading crypto.
- The move makes Brave the only browser with integrated crypto trading on the market.
- The process of trading is simple, as the widget allows the instant purchase, sale, and management of coins.
Brave browser, the privacy-oriented blockchain-based browser that uses Basic Attention Token (BAT) cryptocurrency, has just announced support for crypto trading. The integrated cryptocurrency trading comes as a result of Brave Software’s new partnership with a cryptocurrency exchange, Binance.
Brave enables in-browser crypto trading with Binance widget
Brave’s announcement, published yesterday, March 24th, says that Brave users can now seamlessly trade cryptocurrency assets through Binance. Trading is possible thanks to the new Binance widget, which will be available every time when users open a new tab.

The announcement also stressed that this makes Brave the only browser currently on the market that allows integrated functionality for buying and trading digital currencies.
The widget will allow users to access both, Binance.com and Binance.US, for US-based traders. It will also allow access to all crypto assets listed within the exchange, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin and others. Users will able to: “buy and sell crypto assets, view asset balances, and obtain deposit addresses all without leaving the browser.”
Brave co-founder and CEO, Brendan Eich, commented by adding that “Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and simple.” Such moves are important in today’s crypto industry, as they reduce the complexity of trading, which might help drive crypto adoption among users who were previously intimidated by the overly-complicated process.
The move will make interaction with crypto easier than ever
Binance’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, also commented on the move by stating that “The Binance widget on Brave’s privacy-oriented browser instills a safer way to buy and sell crypto and also reduces user friction to onboard, trade and interact with the Binance ecosystem. We are looking forward to our long-term partnership with Brave to make it even easier to interact with crypto and encourage more utility in the near future.”
A version of this feature can be downloaded as part of Brave’s Nightly desktop version, according to the announcement, while the widget for the general desktop version will be released in April of this year.
