ARK (ARK)

The ARK network uses a delegated proof-of-stake model, where holders vote for delegates that validate blocks and maintain the chain. This approach is designed to keep transaction processing fast and energy-efficient compared with proof-of-work systems, while giving token holders a direct role in network governance. The ARK token is used within the ecosystem for transaction fees, voting, and participation in the network’s economic model.

A key part of ARK’s identity is interoperability. Its earlier SmartBridge concept and related development efforts reflect the project’s ambition to let separate blockchains communicate and trigger actions across networks.
