Humanity (H)

Humanity Protocol is a blockchain project built around the idea of proving that a participant is a unique human being without forcing that person to give up control of their identity data. Its native Proof of Humanity model is designed to address sybil attacks, a common problem in crypto networks where one user can create many wallets or accounts to gain unfair influence, rewards, or access.

The protocol combines decentralized identifiers, verifiable credentials, decentralized storage, and zero-knowledge technology. In practice, these tools aim to let users demonstrate that they are real and unique while limiting the amount of personal information revealed to applications. This privacy-preserving approach is intended to support self-sovereign identity, where credentials can be owned and managed by the individual rather than by a platform, exchange, or government database.

Humanity Protocol’s design is relevant to several areas of Web3. Applications may use human verification for fair token distributions, one-person-one-vote governance, reputation systems, social networks, gaming, decentralized finance access controls, and anti-bot protections. By making proof of personhood reusable across services, the network seeks to give developers a foundation for more inclusive digital systems that do not depend solely on traditional Know Your Customer processes.

The H token is associated with this ecosystem and is positioned within a broader identity infrastructure rather than as a simple payments asset. The project’s distinguishing feature is its focus on combining human uniqueness, cryptographic privacy, and user-owned data. If successful, Humanity Protocol could serve as a base layer for applications that need to distinguish humans from automated or duplicate identities while preserving user privacy.
