Pyth Network (PYTH)
Pyth Network is a decentralised oracle protocol that supplies real-time financial market data to smart contracts across multiple blockchains. Oracles are essential infrastructure in decentralised finance because blockchains cannot natively access external prices, rates, or market information. Pyth addresses this gap by publishing low-latency data feeds that developers can use in trading platforms, lending markets, derivatives protocols, structured products, and other applications that depend on accurate pricing.
The network is best known for sourcing data directly from first-party market participants, including exchanges, trading firms, and other institutional data providers. This approach is intended to reduce reliance on delayed or aggregated third-party feeds and to give on-chain applications access to market information that is closer to the source. Pyth supports price feeds for assets such as cryptocurrencies, equities, foreign exchange pairs, commodities, and other financial instruments, depending on network availability.
