Rootstock Infrastructure Framework (RIF)

The RIF ecosystem includes tools aimed at improving usability and liquidity on Rootstock. These include naming services such as RNS, which replace long wallet addresses with human-readable names, and assets such as USDRIF, a stablecoin designed for use within Rootstock applications. RIF is also used in community programmes, governance-related activity, grants, and rewards through RootstockCollective, which acts as a coordination hub for builders and users on the network.

Rather than competing with Bitcoin as a monetary asset, RIF’s role is to support applications that use Bitcoin’s security and brand while adding DeFi functionality such as payments, lending, stablecoins, and decentralised applications.
