CAVA Group, Inc. operates a Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual restaurant brand in the United States. Its restaurants serve customizable meals built around bowls, pitas and salads, with ingredients such as grilled proteins, grains, greens, dips, spreads and dressings. The concept is positioned in the fast-casual category, where customers expect speed and convenience but also look for fresher ingredients, bold flavors and a more differentiated menu than traditional quick-service restaurants.
The company’s main revenue driver is its restaurant business, which consists of company-owned CAVA locations. Restaurants are designed around a high-throughput service line, digital ordering and menu flexibility, allowing customers to personalize meals while the brand maintains operational consistency. CAVA’s cuisine draws on Mediterranean staples such as hummus, harissa, tzatziki and tahini-based dressings, helping distinguish it from burger, sandwich and burrito-focused chains.
CAVA also operates a packaged foods business through CAVA Foods. This segment produces dips, spreads and certain dressing bases used in the company’s restaurants and sells selected branded products through grocery channels. The packaged goods operation gives the brand a presence outside its restaurants and supports consistency in key menu components.
As a public restaurant company, CAVA’s performance is tied to same-restaurant sales, new unit openings, food and labor costs, consumer traffic and its ability to scale without diluting the customer experience. Its market identity rests on combining a health-conscious, Mediterranean menu with the convenience and repeatability of a national fast-casual platform.
