  • Chainlink recently joined the list of the top 100 tech-oriented companies by the World Economic Forum.
  • The project was recognized for its contributions to the blockchain industry and its advanced technology.
  • Project and its CEO will spend the next two years in creating new partnerships and attending key events.

The Tech Pioneers community recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the World Economic Forum combed through numerous tech-oriented firms in order to select the top 100 among them. These are believed to be the companies capable of shaping entire industries.

Among them was also a crypto project, Chainlink (LINK), which stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the biggest names in the world of tech development.

The firms chosen as pioneers are companies whose technological impact is of major importance for optimizing various fields. From agriculture to healthcare, all industries are being transformed via new technologies such as ML, AI, IoT, blockchain, robotics, biotechnology, and alike.

Meanwhile, Chainlink comes in as a decentralized oracle network which was recognized due to its contributions to the world of blockchain. A recent announcement revealed that Chainlink was included as an early to growth-stage firm, alongside others in a similar position.

It, and other startups, are all dedicated to designing, developing, and deploying new technologies and innovations. They target various different fields, but they all contribute to the tech world as a whole.

The next two years will see Chainlink, as well as the project's CEO, Sergey Nazarov, participate in numerous initiatives and key events. They will partner up with leaders of the private sector, as well as policymakers.

Nazarov commented on the new development, stating: “We’re thrilled to be recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Using smart contracts on the blockchain to bring enforceable guarantees to contractual obligations has widespread social and economic benefits. We’re proud to play a role in bringing accountability and automation to global and local economies, and we look forward to contributing to Forum dialogues on this challenge.
