OKX lists The Mars Token metaverse project

OKX, the world’s second-biggest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has listed Mars Token (MRST) – the native token of the Mars Metaverse.

Initially, OKX will support two trading pairs – MRST/USDT and MRST/USDC.

What’s The Mars Metaverse (MRST)?

The Mars Metaverse is a metaverse-focused game platform developed by Mars Labs and is themed on the planet Mars. 

In this virtual world is a “Colony of Mars”, a world where players can tap into real estate, sports, and community interaction among other activities - all the while earning rewards paid in the native MRST token.

A “Colony” is a 1-kilometer virtual world territory in the Mars metaverse that users can own, and develop by building houses or commercial estates. Users can also lease a “Colony” via a blockchain-based smart contract, with this allowing them to participate in and contribute to the Mars metaverse for rewards in the native MRST.

According to the Mars Labs team, every user in the Mars metaverse’s ecosystem can earn MRST, thanks to the platform’s Play-and-Earn (PAE) system

More MRST benefits for users include support for Mars Token trading pairs and use across the Mars metaverse for purchasing buildings in the Colony or in-game items.

The Mars Metaverse products

The Mars Metaverse project started in April 2021 and has seen massive growth since. In the past twelve months, the Mars Labs team has launched the MRST Mining App (in December 2021) and in 2022, the game platform has unveiled key NFT projects.

There’s the NFT Marketplace & Launchpad ‘brizzi’, the CryptoPunks-inspired ‘The Martians NFT’ which is minted on Polygon and available on OpenSea, and 'MRST Mining Pet' NFT. 

The Mars metaverse will also support 3^rd party or indie game developers, who can tap into the “The Mars Game Creator" software to create and release their own games.

According to the Mars Labs team, the game platform is expected to launch in 2023, with the AAA project set to include blockchain-based gaming, e-commerce, and virtual business. The ecosystem will also encompass Social Networking Service (SNS) and Social Networking Gaming (SNG).

OKX announces $20,000 MRST lottery

In addition to the support for MRST spot trading, OKX has also listed the Mars Token on its DEX platform and has opened a trade lottery offering up to $20,000 worth of MRST for winners.

MRST worth $18,000 will be shared by the top 20 daily DEX traders for the next 10 days, with $1,800 in Mars Token shared every day. OKX, a highly reputable exchange, will also airdrop $2,000 worth of MRST to 20 lucky users who transact 10 MRST or more using the OKX Web3 Wallet.
