  • Friendzone is a SocialFi project eyeing the Web3 ecosystem.
  • The team expects to complete its expansion to Polygon PoS later this month.
  • Friendzone also plans to integrate with Polygon zkEVM.

Friendzone, a social Web3 marketplace, has announced its upcoming launch on the Polygon blockchain.

A press release shared with Invezz states that the decentralized social marketplace will bring its social app to the Polygon PoS ecosystem later this month.

Further expansion to Polygon zkEVM also planned

Launching on Polygon PoS will help Friendzone expand its presence in the Web3 social media arena, the team said. More than that, the plan to tap into the blockchain’s scalability and other features to bring consumer and social media applications to the public, paving way for greater Web3 adoption.

This goal will see Friendzone expand to Polygon zkEVM, the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible chain.

The broader ecosystem growth is getting new momentum from developments in the ZK proofs space, and the Friendzone team sees its collaboration as a milestone that will help it attract more developer activity. Features such as cross-chain syncing and composability opens up this possibility, the team said in the press release.

According to him, Polygon’s infrastructure offers the capabilities that will propel Friendzone’s SocialFi mission, advancing overall Web3 adoption. The project will use its integration with the multi-chain blockchain ecosystem solution to explore new use cases and to grow its user base.

The alliances and opportunities that the launch on Polygon PoS and Polygon zkEVM brings will also the Web3 social platform’s goals for the creator economy.

Today’s news follows Friendzone’s launch of an airdrop campaign last December. The community is set to benefit from a 25 million FZE giveaway ahead of the platform's Beta Launch.
