This endorsement played a crucial role in boosting the token's visibility and attracting new investors.

At the time of writing, MAGA token was at down at $12.9, according to CoinMarketCap.

Whale activity and Trump endorsements fuel market interest

In addition to Jenner's endorsement, substantial whale-buying activity has contributed to the token's surge.

According to Spot On Chain, a trader purchased over $1 million worth of TRUMP tokens shortly after Donald Trump announced his re-election campaign last November.

As of May 29, when the token's price hit its peak, these holdings were valued at over $15.7 million.

The MAGA token's rally coincides with a broader trend of presidential meme coin fervor.

Over the past week, the TRUMP token increased by 48% and has surged 180% over the past month, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Despite these gains, the token's value has since dropped, trading at $13.66 at the time of writing, marking a 10.6% decline from its all-time high.

Correspondingly, the token's market capitalization has decreased to $600 million.

Speculation and market adjustments

Market analysts speculate that the whale investor who significantly benefited from the recent price surge might sell their holdings soon, potentially impacting the token's price further.

Conversely, some whales have already started selling their TRUMP holdings to capitalize on profits and reinvest in other meme coins associated with Donald Trump.

Donald Trump's involvement in the crypto space has also played a pivotal role in the MAGA token's price movement.

On May 25, Trump publicly expressed a positive stance towards cryptocurrency companies and the industry, further driving market enthusiasm.

Additionally, the Trump 2024 campaign launched a fundraising page on May 21 to accept crypto donations, reinforcing his commitment to digital assets.

Trump's cryptocurrency holdings exceed $10 million

Trump's on-chain cryptocurrency holdings have surpassed $10 million, largely driven by his substantial investment in the MAGA (TRUMP) token.

Blockchain intelligence firm Arkham reported that Trump's crypto portfolio briefly touched seven figures on May 29, primarily due to the surge in TRUMP's value.

Currently, Trump holds 579,290 TRUMP tokens, valued at approximately $8.56 million.

Besides his TRUMP holdings, Trump possesses significant amounts of Ethereum (ETH) and MVP tokens. He holds 464.2 ETH, valued at about $1.79 million, and a million MVP tokens worth around $473,000.

The MVP token, another memecoin offering rewards and supporting donations to the Trump election campaign, reached an all-time high of $0.709 on May 17. However, it has since experienced a 33% decline, currently trading at $0.477.
