Crypto prices on Feb 6: BTC at $97K, TRUMP top gainer with 5% surge

The crypto market was jittery on Thursday.

Bitcoin (BTC) and leading altcoins like XRP and Solana (SOL) have remained volatile on February 6.

The global cryptocurrency market capitalization is $3.21 trillion, reflecting a 0.26% decrease in the past 24 hours.

Total market volume for the last 24 hours was $120.36 billion, a 37.59% decrease.

Stablecoin volume reached $112.21 billion, accounting for 93.23% of the 24-hour total.

Bitcoin (BTC) price today

BTC continues to trade rangebound. At the time of writing, BTC price was down 0.64% to trade at $97,547.53.

The coin made a low of $96,174.83 and a high of $99,113 in the past day.

BTC recorded liquidations worth $36.12 million in the past 24 hours, per Coinglass data.

Bitcoin's market dominance is currently at 60.33%, down 0.15% over the last day.

US President Donald Trump's son Eric Trump tweeted earlier today that it might be a good time to enter BTC.

Ethereum (ETH) price today

Ethereum (ETH) bucked the general trend, surging over 3% to $2,822.97, with a low of $2,710.52 and a high of $2,831.56 in the past 24 hours.

Trading volumes for the coin were down 36% at $30 billion.

Ethereum funds saw their third-largest day of inflows since launch, with a total of $307.77 million in net inflows on February 4, 2025.

The leading contributor was BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), which accounted for the majority of the inflows, with $276.16 million.

XRP and SOL price today

XRP was the top loser among the top 10 cryptocurrencies. XRP was down close to 3% trading at $2.44.

Solana (SOL) also mirrored the broader market’s volatility, experiencing an over 1.5% drop, trading at $201.62.

Trading volume for the coin was down 47% at $3.66 billion.

Crypto market gainers and losers 

OFFICIAL TRUMP (TRUMP) has led the top gainers with a 5.66% surge, raising its price to $18.98.

Monero (XMR) followed closely with a 5.05% increase, now trading at $235.75.

Lido DAO (LDO) saw a 4.42% rise, pushing its price to $1.77.

Ethereum Name Service (ENS) experienced a 4.09% gain, reaching $27.78, while Litecoin (LTC) rounded out the top gainers with a 3.81% increase, currently priced at $106.59.

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) has faced the largest decline among the top losers, slumping by 11.72% to $0.0119.

Ethena (ENA) also saw a drop of 7.44%, now trading at $0.5494. Kaspa (KAS) experienced a 7.26% decrease, currently valued at $0.09052.

Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL) dropped by 6.98%, priced at $1.33, while Sui (SUI) recorded a 6.92% decline, trading at $3.38.
