  • The country launches the Alem Crypto Fund for building national digital reserves.
  • The fund has made its initial investment in BNB.
  • Binance Kazakhstan will be a strategic advisor.

Kazakhstan has made an official entry into the blockchain world after launching the Alem Crypto Fund, a government program designed for cryptocurrency investment and forming the groundwork for digital national reserves.

According to Binance’s founder and former CEO, the Alem Crypto Fund debuted by accumulating Binance Coin.

Most importantly, the nation plans to hold BNB for the long term. Changpeng Zhao confirmed:

BNB remains on the crypto community’s radar after its recent performance, which saw it surpass the closely watched $1,000 milestone.

The native token serves various roles within the Binance ecosystem. These include governance processes, gas fees, and completing transactions.

BNB boasts a market cap of around $142 billion, with over $3 billion in daily trading volumes (Coinmarketcap data).

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan has joined the list of a few countries that have officially adopted cryptocurrencies as reserve assets, including Bitcoin holders El Salvador, Bhutan, and the US.

Kazakhstan steps into digital reserves

The country’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Investment (which is under Qazaqstan Venture Group management) established the Alem Crypto Fund.

Moreover, the initiative is registered under AIFIC (Astana International Financial Center).

Officials bet big on the crypto reserve, with long-term goals to adopt crypto for investment and an asset for nation-level savings as the financial landscape transforms.

Commenting on the move, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of AI and Digital Investment, Zhaslan Madiyev, says:

Collaborating with Binance Kazakhstan

A licensed local firm, Binance Kazakhstan, is at the center of the new crypto reserve initiative.

The country tapped the exchange to ensure security and transparency while aligning with global financial standards.

Binance Kazakhstan’s General Manager Nurkhat Kushimov cheered the decision as key to promoting institutional crypto adoption in the region.

He said:

BNB price outlook

Binance Coin has recorded impressive price actions lately, surging from around $840 in early this month to all-time highs above $1,075 on September 21.

BNB has remained resilient even as most digital assets underperformed in September.

It is trading at $1,025 after gaining nearly 3% on the daily timeframe.

The altcoin appears ready for further breakouts in the expected Q4 rallies.

Meanwhile, CZ expects another 10,000x growth from Binance Coin in the coming years.
