Silver trades higher as investors await Federal Reserve policy decision

The rebound came as tensions between the US and Iran intensified.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported late Tuesday that it had intercepted all ballistic missiles launched by Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces.

According to CENTCOM, the US later carried out precision strikes in Iraq.

The strikes targeted Iran-backed groups that were reportedly planning attacks on US forces and Saudi oil facilities.

The developments have added to concerns surrounding the oil market.

Renewed geopolitical tensions can increase uncertainty around energy supplies and prices.

The sharp rise in WTI prices on Wednesday reflected the market's response to the latest developments.

Investors await Federal Reserve rate decision
