The 2026 shift towards more autonomous financial tools does not settle the manual vs automated trading debate.

It changes the practical question from whether software should be used to how much authority it should receive.

Automation is useful when its task is clear, its exposure is limited, and its actions can be reconstructed.

It becomes harder to justify when the logic is hidden, losses cannot be bounded, or the user has no reliable way to intervene.

Speed is not the final measure of a trading system. Control, transparency, and accountable decision-making matter more when software is allowed to act on its own.
