Crypto prices on Jan 13: BTC below $95K, ETH, XRP slip over 1%

The cryptocurrency market remained range-bound on Monday, with Bitcoin trading within a range of $93K to $96K.

Concerns about market conditions are growing due to factors such as FTX liquidations and speculations surrounding a potential US government sell-off of Silk Road-related Bitcoin holdings.

The release of stronger-than-expected US jobs data added to the somber sentiments.

These events have added to investor unease, contributing to a 0.80% drop in the global crypto market, which now stands at a total market cap of approximately $3.29 trillion.

The total crypto market volume over the last 24 hours has risen by 12.84%, reaching $80.83 billion. Within this, the volume in decentralized finance (DeFi) stands at $6.19 billion, accounting for 7.66% of the total crypto market volume.

Stablecoins had a volume of $73.79 billion, representing 91.29% of the total market volume.

Bitcoin (BTC) price today

Bitcoin (BTC) was trading 0.26% higher at $94,800.99 with a 24-hour low of $93,712 and a high of $95,837.

Its market cap slipped below $2 trillion, now at approximately $1.86 trillion.

Trading volume for the coin surged up close to 50% at $26.85 billion.

Bitcoin’s dominance also increased to 56.93%, reflecting a 0.43% rise over the day.

Ethereum (ETH) price today

Ethereum (ETH) was priced at $3,249, reflecting a 1.02% decline in the last 24 hours.

Its low and high were recorded at $3,224 and $3,335, respectively.

Trading volumes were up 33% at $$14.96 billion.

Ethereum saw $7.7 million in liquidations, with a majority of $6.6 million coming from short positions, showcasing increased volatility.

XRP and SOL price today:

XRP was trading at $2.53, a slight decline of 0.88%.

The low and high during the past 24 hours were $2.47 and $2.56, respectively.

Solana (SOL) was priced at $186.30, with a range of $184 to $191 during the past 24 hours.

In the broader crypto market, Hyperliquid (HYPE) saw a 4.6% increase, reaching $21.33, while KuCoin Token (KCS) rose by 3.95%, trading at $11.29.

Raydium (RAY) gained 1.71%, climbing to $4.59, and Monero (XMR) experienced a 0.67% uptick, priced at $198.24.
