Argentina to scrap import tariffs on EVs and hybrids to drive green transport

Argentina's Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, announced on Tuesday that the country will remove import taxes on certain types of electric and hybrid vehicles beginning next week, marking a significant step toward sustainability and economic reform.

Cars priced at more than 75 million pesos will benefit from a 35% tax decrease, making them more appealing to purchasers looking for high-end models.

Motorcycles also benefit from the new legislation, since two-wheelers priced between 15 million and 23 million pesos can be sold tax-free.
