  • Sandbox Network has developed its own NFT Meta Toy DragonZ (MTDZ) on Klaytn.
  • The partnership aims at supporting the expansion of Meta Toy DragonZ.
  • MTDZ is expanding from Klaytn to Polygon and will launch the re-branded MTDZ 2.0 early next year.

NFT Marketplace powered by Polygon, OnePlanet, has announced a partnership with prominent Multi-Channel Network Sandbox Network. The partnership will see OnePlanet provide technical and ecosystem support for the global expansion of Sandbox Network’s NFT MetaToyDragonZ (MTDZ).

Sandbox Network has over 3 billion monthly views across gaming, entertainment, and sports industries and it has developed its own NFT on Klaytn to connect creators to the Web3 community. It plans to expand its ecosystem by creating Meta Toy World (MTW) and launching several multichain games and metaverse projects.

In October, Sandbox Network announced the expansion of its chain from Klaytn to Polygon and it is expected to launch the pre-branded MTDZ2.0 at the start of 2023. There is also the Meta Toy City, a P2E game project based on the MTDZ NFT, whose Closed-Beta Test started this month with its official release scheduled for next year.

As a Polygon-dedicated NFT marketplace, OnePlanet has provided a wide range of support for NFT and game projects on Polygon before enabling them to reach their milestones. It also provides technical support for projects allowing them to add more utilities to their NFTs like the implementation of NFTs with a project’s ERC-20 token.

OnePlanet will therefore support MTDZ in expanding to the Polygon ecosystem to reach a broader range of users.

Commenting on the partnership, the CEO of OnePlanet, Pryce Cho, said

“We are pleased to bring great partners to Polygon, the most suitable ecosystem for projects to expand globally. OnePlanet will continually support our partners to settle and grow on Polygon.”

Besides the MTDZ project, OnePlanet also agreed on future partnerships with Sandbox Network to onboard future projects to the Polygon ecosystem.

NFT marketplaces ‘more accessible’

Speaking to Invezz, Origin Protocol co-founder Matthew Liu said:

In regards to NFT gaming, scaling solutions like Polygon are necessary to onboard gamers to blockchain. Ethereum’s mainnet burdens users with high transaction costs–these fees are often prohibitively expensive to use blockchain for gaming.

Scaling solutions like Polygon are used far beyond gaming, however. I co-founded Origin Story because there’s a lot still missing from NFT marketplaces. Origin Story uses Polygon to make NFTs more accessible across industries, as well as a full suite of other user-friendly features. Origin Story powers accessible NFT marketplaces in the entertainment, gaming, and collectibles industries. Paired with features like credit card support, NFT marketplaces are becoming much more accessible than they once were.
