  • It has been a stock of interest for many Redditors
  • SPCE has fundamental value and is more than just another stock pump

In recent days, as the WallStreetBets saga continues, there has been plenty of talk about stocks ‘going to the moon.’ Virgin Galactic Holdings (SPCE) – a British American spaceflight company under the wider Virgin umbrella – is a stock that is heading towards the moon on multiple levels, and investors now want to know the best place to buy Virgin Galactic stock.

Reddit is a major source of much of this enthusiasm, but SPCE appears to have much more fundamental value than many of the pumped and short-squeeze stocks we have seen recently.

Unlike its private rival, SpaceX, SPCE had struggled to gain a lot of momentum in the market. However, a recent announcement has seized the imagination of investors whilst SpaceX’s latest test flight has crash-landed. On this page, we will delve into what SPCE is, how to invest in SPCE, and why SPCE is rising in value.

Why is SPCE rising in value so fast?

Redditors have undoubtedly been part of the reason behind SPCE’s meteoric rise, but it isn’t an open-and-shut case. There has been some organic growth creation. Yesterday, having aborted its last test flight in December, SPCE announced that its next test flight window will open on February the 13th. Investors were excited by this news, and yesterday’s SpaceX failure might also have played a role.

SpaceX’s Starship SN9 launch and test flight went successfully, but it crashed in a large fireball upon trying to land in Boca Chica, Texas. It is a repeat of an accident that destroyed the SN8 rocket in December. On the public front, SpaceX has been very positive about the information it obtained from the test flight, but perhaps another newsworthy inferno has made investors look at Virgin Galactic as a serious rival.
