Meme coins have done well this year helped by the robust performance of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Hoppy, a relatively new meme token, has soared by over 570% in the past 30 days while Dogwifhat (WIF) has jumped by over 2,000% in the past six months. Why meme coins have done well

Meme coins like Hoppy, Dogwifhat, and other tokens have done well this year because of the general performance of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. While Bitcoin has nosedived recently, it remains substantially higher than where it started the year or its lowest point in 2022.

Bitcoin rose after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved spot Bitcoin ETFs and after the closely-watched halving event. Halving reduces the block rewards, which helps to limit the coin’s supply.

Traders love meme coins because they are cheaper than big coins like Bitcoin, Chainlink, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. As such, one is able to make substantially more money when these meme tokens rise compared to similar moves by Bitcoin and other coins.

These stories have become highly common, especially among people who bought new meme coins earlier. For example, earlier buyers of a token like Dogwifhat have become millionaires as the token has soared.

Poodlana introduces a new concept

Poodlana, an upcoming Solana meme coin, is aiming to become the next big thing in the crypto industry. It is aiming to be the next big dog-themed token, disrupting an industry that the likes of Shiba Inu, Baby Doge Coin, and Floki have dominated. It derives its name from Poodle, one of the most popular dog breeds in in Japan.

Poodlana will launch its pre-sale token later this month and users will be able to buy it with their SOL, BNB, ETH, USDT, USDC, and even fiat currencies. The pre-sale will last for 30 days, a process that will be followed by listings in popular decentralized exchanges like Raydium and Orca.
