To start trading with 101Investing you’ll need an initial deposit of $250. This is quite a large amount when compared to the minimum deposits required by other broker platforms, which typically fall somewhere between $10 and $100. The most common payment methods include debit/credit card, bank wire transfer, and e-wallets such as Skrill.

You won’t be charged to deposit funds in your 101Investing account, and most payments are processed instantly. Traders can also withdraw profits using any of the above-mentioned methods. How much are 101Investing’s fees and commissions? 

Sometimes, brokers can apply fees for trading activity, apart from the extra additional fees of the platform. However, these charges are common and are the main way through which a trading platform earns its revenues.

Is 101Investing safe?

Yes, in addition to being regulated by the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission (CySEC) 101Investing is also a member of the Investor Compensation Fund. The main essence of ICF is to compensate clients for any claims arising from the failure of a member of the ICF to fulfill its obligations towards its clients. The maximum amount of compensation a client can receive is €20,000 for covered services.

The broker also works with the latest security technologies to provide safe transactions, including strict firewalls and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all transactions.

Am I and my funds protected? 

Yes, in complete accordance with CySEC rules, clients’ funds are identifiable and available at all times. All funds are held within segregate bank accounts, different from those of the broker’s money. In case the broker goes bankrupt, all clients are entitled to compensation of up to €20,000.

Is 101Investing regulated? 

The company is licensed and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). The license number of the online platform with CySEC is 315/16. However, 101Investing is not regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other external authority except CySEC. 

Do I have to verify my account with 101Investing? 

Yes, you will be required to verify your account in order to move beyond minimal trading and leverage limits. 101Investing operates a KYC program (Know Your Customer), which means you will have to provide legal documentation showing your country of residence, proof of address, and a valid government-issued photo ID.

Additionally, 101Investing doesn’t allow third-party payments, which means all funds deposited in your trading account must come from an account under the same name as your 101Investing trading account.
