What are the risks of using Eightcap?

Eightcap is a CFD brokerage firm and the main risk of using it is losing money. However, this is largely down to your own ability as a trader as opposed to the brokerage firm itself. There are a few more risks you should consider before using Eightcap, which we’ve explained below.

  • CFD trading is complex. Trading CFDs means you won’t own the underlying asset. You will also likely be using leverage which adds to the risk. Trading CFDs is best suited to traders with experience and knowledge about the markets and you should proceed with caution, especially with leverage.
  • The cryptocurrency market is volatile. While there are massive gains to be made with trading crypto, you should always remember that the market is new and very volatile. It is not uncommon for large price swings to occur and if you’re on the wrong side, it could prove to be costly.
  • Leverage is risky. As already mentioned, trading with leverage is very risky, especially if you’re still new. Beginners should stay away from leveraged trading, or use low leverage levels. You can make big gains with leverage, but you can equally lose money just as quick.
